Michael Vogt c944af8459 tree-wide: fix some double word errors like "the the"
By chance (because I had this mistake in my own commit) I noticed
that there are a bunch of duplicated works like "the the" in the
code and man-pages.

This commit fixes them and some similar issues with "and and" etc.

Michael Vogt 896fd702ba firstboot: add new systemd.firstboot=headless mode
This adds a new systemd.firstboot=headless mode. It differs from the
existing systemd.firstboot=no mode in that it still performs the
non-interactive auto-configuration that requires no user input (such
as selecting the only installed locale, or applying settings provided
via credentials), and only skips the prompts that would otherwise
block waiting for user input. In contrast, =no disables that
auto-configuration along with the prompts.

The option is also honoured by homectls firstboot logic and
systemd-cryptenroll, where headless behaves the same as no
(because the is no auto-configuration).

Lennart Poettering 4c49e864b0 firstboot: permit setting the static hostname via a system credential
For the IMDS case there's value in being able to set the static
hostname, instead of just the transient one. Let's introduce
firstboot.hostname, which only applies to first boot, and write the
static hostname. This is different from system.hostname which applies to
any boot, and writes the transient hostname.

Lennart Poettering aa27bec194 firstboot: optionally, don't query for keymap unless connected to a real VT
The keymap only really matters if there's local access to a system, i.e.
if there's actually a physical kbd directly connected to it, to apply it
to. If during firstboot we are not talked to via a VT (but via SSH,
container, or hypervisor console or so instead), then it's very unlikely
we ever are. Hence, don't ask for a keymap, and let#s shortcut the
questions asked at boot.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek eb47031694 man: mention that preset-all is performed during early boot
The intro of systemd-firstboot is rewritten to make it clearer how it fits into
the big picture. Systemd does some machine-id and presets and
systemd-firstboot.service is used to interactively fill in the blanks.

Closes #22225.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek fd6ee7ed42 firstboot: clarify that machine-id options are only offline, add missing docs
Let's flat out refuse to configure machine-id on a running system with
systemd-firstboot. It wouldn't work anyway, because by the time firstboot is
started, pid1 has created /etc/machine-id, possibly with "unitialized", so
firstboot wouldn't touch the file. (If --force is specified, it works. So
let's allow that in case people want to do crazy things.)

While at it, add missing descriptions of various things that were added over
time, and group descriptions of similar options together.

Daan De Meyer c4a53ebf7a firstboot: Tighten up passwd/shadow handling
There are a lot of edge cases that the current implementation
doesn't handle, especially in cases where one of passwd/shadow
exists and the other doesn't exist. For example, if
--root-password is specified, we will write /etc/shadow but
won't add a root entry to /etc/passwd if there is none.

To fix some of these issues, we constrain systemd-firstboot to
only modify /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow if both do not exist
already (or --force) is specified. On top of that, we calculate
all necessary information for both passwd and shadow upfront so
we can take it all into account when writing the actual files.

If no root password options are given --force is specified or both
files do not exist, we lock the root account for security purposes.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 38b38500c6 tree-wide: use "hostname" spelling everywhere
It's not that I think that "hostname" is vastly superior to "host name". Quite
the opposite — the difference is small, and in some context the two-word version
does fit better. But in the tree, there are ~200 occurrences of the first, and
>1600 of the other, and consistent spelling is more important than any particular
spelling choice.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek fdbbee37d5 man: drop unused <authorgroup> tags from man sources
Docbook styles required those to be present, even though the templates that we
use did not show those names anywhere. But something changed semi-recently (I
would suspect docbook templates, but there was only a minor version bump in
recent years, and the changelog does not suggest anything related), and builds
now work without those entries. Let's drop this dead weight.

Tested with F26-F29, debian unstable.

Lennart Poettering 0c69794138 tree-wide: remove Lennart's copyright lines
These lines are generally out-of-date, incomplete and unnecessary. With
SPDX and git repository much more accurate and fine grained information
about licensing and authorship is available, hence let's drop the
per-file copyright notice. Of course, removing copyright lines of others
is problematic, hence this commit only removes my own lines and leaves
all others untouched. It might be nicer if sooner or later those could
go away too, making git the only and accurate source of authorship
information.

Lennart Poettering 818bf54632 tree-wide: drop 'This file is part of systemd' blurb
This part of the copyright blurb stems from the GPL use recommendations:

https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.en.html

The concept appears to originate in times where version control was per
file, instead of per tree, and was a way to glue the files together.
Ultimately, we nowadays don't live in that world anymore, and this
information is entirely useless anyway, as people are very welcome to
copy these files into any projects they like, and they shouldn't have to
change bits that are part of our copyright header for that.

hence, let's just get rid of this old cruft, and shorten our codebase a
bit.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 11a1589223 tree-wide: drop license boilerplate
Files which are installed as-is (any .service and other unit files, .conf
files, .policy files, etc), are left as is. My assumption is that SPDX
identifiers are not yet that well known, so it's better to retain the
extended header to avoid any doubt.

I also kept any copyright lines. We can probably remove them, but it'd nice to
obtain explicit acks from all involved authors before doing that.
