Lennart Poettering 3b6e71ad03 util: add some helpers for converting percent/permille/permyriad to parts of 2^32-1
At various places we accept values scaled to the range 0…2^32-1 which
are exposed to the user as percentages/permille/permyriad. Let's add
some helper macros (actually: typesafe macro-like functions) that help
with converting our internal encoding to the external encodings.

benefits: some of the previous code rounded up, some down. let's always
round to nearest, to ensure that our conversions are reversible. Also,
check for overflows correctly.

This also adds a test that makes sure that for the full
percent/permille/permyriad ranges we can convert forth and back without
loss of accuracy.

Lennart Poettering 38d0c27006 percent-util: when parsing permyriads, permit percents too with 1 place after the dot
Previously, when parsing myriads, we'd support:

 x% → percent, no places after the dot
 x.yz% → percent, two places after the dot
 x‰ → permille, no places after the dot
 x.y‰ → permille, one place after the dot
 x‱ → permyriad, no places after the dot

What's missing is:

 x.y% → percent, one place after the dot

Let's add it in.

Lennart Poettering ed5033fd6c util: move percent/permille/permyriad parser into percent-util.[ch]
A good chunk of parse-util.[ch] has been about parsing parts per
hundred/thousand/ten-thousand. Let's split that out into its own file.

No code changes, just some shuffling around.

Lennart Poettering a113002214 sd-device: add sd_device_get_action() + sd_device_get_seqnum() + sd_device_new_from_stat_rdev()
To make sd-device properly usable for all programs we need to provide an
API for the "action" field of an event, it's one of the most relevant
ones, and it was so far missing.

This also adds sd_device_get_seqnum(), which isn't that interesting,
except for generating pretty debug output, which we use it ourselves
for.

This also makes device_new_from_stat_rdev() public, as it is truly
useful, as we can see in our own uses of it, and I think is fairly
generic to show up in the public APIs.

Lennart Poettering 93419a9601 install: make UnitFileChangeType enum anonymous
We almost never use the named enum type, in almost all cases we use
"int" instead, since we overload it with negative errnos. To simplify
things, let's use "int" really everywhere.

Moreover, let's rename the fields for this enum to "type_or_errno", to
make the overloading clear. And let's ad some assertions that things are
in the right range.

Giedrius Statkevičius 68337e55f6 condition: add CPUFeature
Taking a stab at implementing #14479.

Add {Condition,Assert}CPUFeature to `systemd-analyze` & friends. Implement it
by executing the CPUID instruction. Add tables for common x86/i386
features.

Tested via unit tests + checked that commands such as:

```bash
systemd-analyze condition 'AssertCPUFeature = rdrand'
```

Succeed as expected and that commands such as

```bash
systemd-analyze condition 'AssertCPUFeature = foobar'
```

Fail as expected. Finally, I have amended the `systemd.unit` manual page
with the new condition and the list of all currently supported flags.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 751db3b4cd Return -EINVAL from _from_string() functions
We'd return -1 (-EPERM), even though we have a general rule to use real errno
values. The particular case that caught my attention was:

$ sudo udevadm control -l asdf
Failed to parse log priority 'asdf': Operation not permitted

... but "git grep 'r =.*_from_string' src/" return 110 hits. Confusingly, some
of the _from_string functions already return a proper errno value, so not all
of those are broken, but probably quite a few.

Lennart Poettering 57f1b61b76 shared: rename machine-image.[ch] → discover-image.[ch]
The old name originates when this was used to discover "machine" images,
as managed by machined/machinectl. But nowadays this is also used by
portable services and system extensions, hence let's use a more generic
name for this API. Taking inspiration from "dissect-image.[ch]", let's call
this "discover-image.[ch]".

This is pure renaming, no other changes.

Lennart Poettering 3cdcbdd32f path-util: tighten path_extract_filename()
Let's tighten the logic behind path_extract_filename() a bit: first of
all, refuse all cases of invalid paths with -EINVAL. More importantly
though return a recognizable error when a valid path is specified that
does not contain any filename. Specifically, "/" will now result in
-EADDRNOTAVAIL.

This changes API, but none of the existing callers care about the return
value, hence the change should be fine.

Topi Miettinen ddc155b2fd New directives NoExecPaths= ExecPaths=
Implement directives `NoExecPaths=` and `ExecPaths=` to control `MS_NOEXEC`
mount flag for the file system tree. This can be used to implement file system
W^X policies, and for example with allow-listing mode (NoExecPaths=/) a
compromised service would not be able to execute a shell, if that was not
explicitly allowed.

Example:
[Service]
NoExecPaths=/
ExecPaths=/usr/bin/daemon /usr/lib64 /usr/lib

Lennart Poettering 3bdc25a4cf core: make NotifyAccess= in combination with RootDirectory=/RootImage= work
Previously if people enabled RootDirectory=/RootImage= and NotifyAccess=
together, things wouldn't work, they'd have to explicitly add
BindReadOnlyPaths=/run/systemd/notify too.

Let's make this implicit. Since both options are opt-in, if people use
them together it would be pointless not also defining the
BindReadOnlyPaths= entry, in which case we can just do it automatically.
