PCPanel makes USB desktop controllers (knobs, sliders, buttons) used to
control audio levels, streaming software and lighting. They are driven
from userspace through hidraw, like the other controllers in this file.
PCPanel reuses the vendor IDs of the microcontroller makers
(STMicroelectronics 0483, Microchip 04d8) with its own product IDs.
This adds the following device to AV production hwdb:
- ID 17cc:2420 Native Instruments Traktor MX2
Support for this new HID-based DJ controller was also recently
merged to Mixxx.
The Beacn Mic's alt-mode behaves identically to it's primary mode from a
communication perspective, it just presents a different channel
configuration to ALSA.
Razer has partnered with Loupedeck to develop some devices.
Add support for the following devices:
- Loupedeck CT
- Loupedeck Live
- Loupedeck Live S
- Razer Stream Controller
- Razer Stream Controller X
We recommend that users create overriddes. This creates the problem that there
is no syntax to unset a property. Thus, the user needs to just set the property
to "something else" in the override file. But then the blurb saying that
"VAR=1" (or "VAR=0" in some cases) is the only allowed value can be confusing.
Say that both 0 and 1 can be set, since this documentation is also intended
for end users.
In our files, we generally don't want the override values anywhere. But we
have a test which checks the rvalue, which should be enough.
We don't want to encourage people to copy the whole files. The
boilerplate text that recommends an override file rather than a
full copy appeared first in 0213a26f65,
but was added in other places in 57bb707d48.
Directly inspired by 951e8cb060, but
the wrong boilerplate was added in other places too.
The Stream Deck products from Elgato are simple key pads
intended to be used as macro pads. They're popular within
the streaming community.
This commit adds all 5 Stream Deck variants available to
the AV production file.
See https://www.elgato.com/en/stream-deck
This adds support for AV production controller devices, such
as DJ tables, music-oriented key pads, and others.
The USB vendor and product IDs come from Mixxx, Ctlra, and
Ardour.
